I’ve two completely different installations of Firefox. That is completed in order that one set up may be automated utilizing Marionette, whereas I exploit the opposite for normal net shopping. I created the second set up by making a duplicate of the primary utility folder. I gave them two completely different names and icons. The previous known as "Firefox" and the latter known as "Firefox work browser".
I’ve set my default browser to "Firefox work browser".
Profile separation, shopping and concurrently operating these functions all works accurately, besides for when I attempt to open a hyperlink – it at all times opens within the "Firefox" browser, not within the "Firefox work browser", regardless of the latter being chosen as my default browser:
That is clearly a bug, so I am looking for a workaround right here. I am guessing the browser choice course of relies on some regex or string.startswith() operate. I would strive renaming the work browser however that entails migrating profiles, which is considerably cumbersome.
