I am utilizing a MacBook Professional 15-inch (2017), macOS Ventura 13.6.3. When I attempt to run a command, any command, in a shell, there’ll typically be a delay earlier than the command begins, normally on the order of minutes.

- I’ve observed no sample as to which instructions set off this delay.
- My immediate, which shows elapsed time for the earlier command, doesn’t observe this delay.
- I’ve checked in Exercise Monitor and am not CPU- or memory-bound.
Whereas getting particulars for this publish, I observed that the About This Mac dialog may also be delayed. I’ve not observed delays in some other GUI purposes.
