Summary
Via a nucleophilic substitution response made on C60Br24 a brand new cyanofullerene by-product has been synthesized. The thermogravimetric evaluation (TGA) has led to the next stoichiometry for the brand new compound: [C60(CN)7]–[Bu4N]+ which was additional confirmed each with the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and the digital absorption spectroscopy. The thermal stability of [C60(CN)7]–[Bu4N]+ was studied very rigorously by TGA-DTG, by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and by TGA-FTIR compared to the conduct of the reagents C60Br24 and tetrabutylammonium cyanide.
