macos – restore (or migrate) the “On My Mac” folders & subfolders in Mail.app?

I am unable to use Migration Assistant to revive my TimeMachine backup of a destroyed quantity to a brand new Monterey set up (lengthy story, however the TLDR is that it is a limitation of OpenCore). I drag copied all the things I might from the Time Machine backup into my new Monterey quantity’s person folder.

Once I launch Apple’s Mail.app, all of the folders & subfolders I had in Mail’s “On My Mac” part are gone. “On My Mac” right here means these saved messages are native solely to my Macintosh, and never in iCloud or every other IMAP server.

I attempted to observe the steps in this 12+ yr previous reply (copying the previous ~/Library/Mail and com.apple.mail.plist from the backup into my new ~/Library). My 25,000 emails appeared emigrate, however all of the folders & subfolders did not. It is multi functional huge “Imports” folder with no subfolders.

So Many Unsorted Emails On My Mac

Anybody have any fashionable options or strategies to unravel this downside?
