The IEEE Ethics and Member Conduct Committee is now accepting nominations for this 12 months’s IEEE Award for Distinguished Moral Practices. The annual award acknowledges an IEEE member, or a corporation using IEEE members, for exemplary moral conduct or persuasive advocacy of moral practices.
Nominators will probably be requested to clarify:
- What scenario was taking place (or not taking place) that prompted the nominee to consider it was unethical?
- In what methods did the nominee reveal moral management, braveness, innovation, or honor to make the scenario higher?
- What was the general influence of the nominee’s actions?
The deadline for nominations is 31 Could. The recipient will probably be introduced in November.
