HomeiOS Developmentmacos - Do iOS Share Extensions work on a "Designed for iPad"...

macos – Do iOS Share Extensions work on a “Designed for iPad” App on Mac?

So I’ve a cross platform app that runs on iPad and MacOS as “Designed for iPad”. That app has a share extension to obtain quite a few file varieties that the app can use.

All the things is operating kinda easily on iPad (it appears to work) – however the Share Extension doesn’t present on the Mac in any respect when opening the Share Menu (eg in Finder).

The Extension nevertheless reveals in System Settings Underneath Privateness -> Extensions -> Added Extensions and “Sharing” is checked for it.

I didn’t discover any documentation on the subject… and a Google seek for “designed for iPad” and “Share Extentions” didn’t present any outcomes both…

Do iOS Share extensions usually work when the app is put in on MacOS?

If sure – what might be the explanation that it doesn’t present?

If not – how can I share information with an “Designed for iPad” App?

Any trace can be extremely appreciated!
