I’ve obtained a MacBook A1398 that has been laying round on a shelve for at least 7 years which I’d prefer to attempt to revive. I’ve connected the MagSafe charger for round 12 hours and retains exhibiting the strong orange mild. When attempting the facility button in a number of durations (single faucet, 3 secs, 5 secs, 10 secs and 20 secs) nothing occurs. No spinning followers, no lights, nothing.
I’m no electrical engineer, however I’d be completely nice altering out the battery. Although, I’m unsure if it’s the battery that wants alternative and ideally need to stop spending pointless cash.
Questions:
- Is there any means for me to analyse what’s incorrect with the machine?
- If the battery is useless, wouldn’t the MacBook skip the battery and nonetheless boot if it’s related to the wall?
- Would it not have any probability when hooking up the MacBook longer to the wall than I already did?
Edit: I simply observed that the MacBook’s fan is continually revving up and down in intervals of 1 second or so. In all probability not sufficient energy to undergo?
