Lithuania And Taiwan Have Agreed To Share Semiconductor


A 14 million euro settlement to share semiconductor chip know-how was struck on Wednesday by Taiwan’s Industrial Expertise Analysis Institute and the Lithuanian IoT enterprise Teltonika IoT Group.

Based on the settlement, Teltonika shall be granted permission to make use of the licences for the Taiwanese institute’s developed know-how and equipment for semiconductor chip fabrication. The association shall be funded by a ten million euro contribution from Taiwan’s International Ministry and a 4 million euro contribution from Teltonika. By 2027, the semiconductor tasks ought to be completed.

This would be the biggest worldwide collaboration challenge between Taiwan’s Industrial Expertise Analysis Institute and a international nation, claims Arvydas Pauktis, founder and president of Teltonika IoT Group.
